Veterans Day Tribute

The Flying Heritage Collection hosted a Veterans Day event to pay tribute to the enlisted men and women who have served their nation. Congressman Rick Larsen opened the ceremony followed by a panel discussion lead by Cory Graff, military aviation curator of the Flying Heritage Collection. Panelists included Elden Williams, who flew photo reconnaissance versions of the P-51 Mustang from Belgium and Germany with the U.S. 9th Air Force; and Ellis Knowlton, a Royal Air Force pilot who flew modified Spitfires in Italy in support of the U.S. 5th Army. Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire closed the event with remarks and pictures with guests.
